At it's height, this plantation encompassed 3,455 acres, with a beautiful c. 1835 Federal-Greek revival style great house. The estate now consists of 374 acres and what distinguishes it most are it's gardens, noted for their size, sophistication and refined plant collections, including one of the earliest collections of camellias in the Deep South. Well behaved, leashed pets are welcome on the grounds, but not in the buildings.
