Last week Edie of Will My Dog Hate Me and I announced that we’ll be co-hosting the 2nd Annual Pet Blogger Challenge on January 10th. We are inviting all pet bloggers to answer eight questions about their blogs and publish the answers on January 10th. Everyone who participates is encouraged to join the blog hop Linky list when it becomes available at midnight on January 9th. After all, getting to know dozens of other bloggers and reading their perspectives on the issues we all face is the best part!

First Timers

If this is your first time participating in the Challenge we are looking forward to getting to know more about your blog and how you got started. Here are your eight questions:

1. When did you begin your blog?

2. What was your original purpose for starting a blog?

3. Is your current purpose the same?

If not, what’s different?

If so, how do you feel you’ve met your goals?

4. Do you blog on a schedule or as the spirit moves you?

If the former, how often — and what techniques do you use to stick to it?

If the latter, do you worry about… well, whatever you might worry about (e.g. losing traffic, losing momentum)?

5. Are you generating income from your blog?

If so, how (e.g. sponsor ads, affiliate relationships, spokesperson opportunities)?

If not currently, do you hope to in the future — and how?

6. What do you like most about blogging in general and your blog in particular (bragging is good!)?

7. What do you like least?

8. How do you see your blog changing/growing in 2012?

Repeat Offenders

If you participated in the Challenge last year we can’t wait to see how things have changed for you in the past twelve months. Here are your eight questions:

1. Provide a link to your post from last year’s Pet Blogger Challenge so we can refresh our memories.

2. What do you consider the most important goals you set out in last year’s post?

3. Have you made progress toward those goals, or have your goals changed over the past year?

4. Has your opinion of blogging on a schedule or as the spirit moves you changed?

Which are you doing now?

Do you still worry about lost traffic, momentum, etc?

5. Are you generating income from your blog?

Has this changed since last year?

If you are generating income, how (e.g. sponsor ads, affiliate relationships, spokesperson opportunities)?

If not currently, do you hope to in the future — and how?

6. Have your likes and dislikes about blogging changed since last year?

7. Overall, are you pleased with the progress you made in 2011?

8. How do you see your blog changing/growing in 2012?

The big event is only three weeks away! If you have any questions or need a little help, don’t be afraid to ask – building camaraderie is what the Pet Blogger Challenge is all about! And, if you’re so inclined, we’d appreciate your help spreading the word by sharing this badge on your blog.
