Sedona is a lot like other towns where tourism supports the economy. Trinket and t-shirt shops predominate the main street, and you’ll find a decent selection of pet friendly hotels and restaurants. What makes it interesting is seeing Sedona with your dogs. You can even book a dog friendly Jeep tour! What better way to explore this unbelievable landscape?!
We spent several days enjoying the views around Sedona with our dogs from the Rancho Sedona RV Park. It’s just across the creek from downtown, near the free (though, not pet friendly) trolly, and within easy walking distance of several pet friendly restaurants.
When you’re ready to hike, a short trek up the hill puts you at the dog friendly Huckaby and Munds Mountain Wilderness trail heads. Ty and Buster were more than happy to head out!
Our only regret is that we didn’t make a stop at Slide Rock State Park. We’ll definitely check that out next time.
Because seeing Sedona with your dogs is about the scenery, I’ll shut up now and show you the pictures. They’re worth at least a thousand words …
Oh, and the drive from Sedona to Flagstaff through Oak Creek Canyon wasn’t bad either!
