Best Time To Visit

Best Time To Visit

Bar Harbor is absolutely a coastal town. Which means that many of the local seafood shacks and some shops close for the winter.

If access to all the restaurants and shops is important to you, then you’ll want to plan your trip for the summer. Temperatures are refreshing and usually in the 70s during the day.

But if you are a snow bunny, you’ll find trails at Arcadia National park that are great for snowshoeing.

High season in Bar Harbor falls between Memorial Day and Labor day. So if you visit outside that time, do your research to make sure the places you want to visit will be open.
