The second most visited mountain in the world (behind Mt. Fuji in Japan), Pikes Peak is only the 31st highest peak in Colorado. At an elevation of 14,110 feet above sea level, it does offer the greatest base to peak elevation gain in the state at 7,400 feet. You can hike or drive to the top and your leashed pet is welcome to join you. Remember that breathing will be more difficult for your pet at higher elevations so don't overexert.
