This is a good expample of a formally designed neighborhood park, typical of the early 1900's. It includes the city's first public rose garden with 8,900 plantings on two acres, the first community center, an historically designated bandstand, and Portland's second oldest playground. Well behaved, leashed pets are welcome on the grounds. They must have tags displaying current rabies vaccinations.
