This remote monument is a geologic treasure with stunning views. It is located just south of the Utah border and a reasonable drive from Kanab. Be aware there are no paved roads within the monument. They also allow dispersed camping within the monument.
Dogs are permitted to hike with you in Coyote Buttes North (The Wave), Coyote Buttes South, and for overnight trips in Paria Canyon, but both you and your pup must obtain a permit in advance.
