Saguaro are enormous cacti and the universal symbol of the American West. This national park is one of the few areas where they can be found. It's located on the edge of the city of Tucson. Visit during the rainy season to see the ocotillo plant change from what appears to be a handful of dead sticks into a cheerful shrub with tall green branches, covered in new leaves.
