These large chalk formations in Gove County, Kansas are rich in fossils. They are the first National Natural Landmarks in the US. The chalk formations reach a height of up to 70 ft and take the form of both buttes and arches.

The formations are located on private land but are open to visitors during the day. Please be polite, do not damage the rocks, and clean up after your pets and yourself.
