The park is the site of year round recreation from summer swimming with a sandy beach and cross country skiing in the winter.

Pets are permitted in the campground and trails only. Pets are restricted from the beach area at all times. Pets are also restricted from the Arts and Crafts Festival and are not allowed at the ski area during winter ski operations.
