From downtown Coeur d'Alene, it's less than 10 minutes to cougar country - Cougar Gulch, that is, where you'll share five acres of country real estate with four-legged creatures no more fearsome than deer or elk (maybe an occasional moose) when you stay at this magnificent 2500 sq. ft. vacation rental home with three bedrooms and room for six. And with all that space, there's plenty of room for your toys too: the ATVs and mountain bikes. Oh, and don't forget the boat! You'll be just 10 minutes from the launches at breathtaking Kidd Island Bay.

Park the ATV, secure the snowmobile, stash the fishing gear - whatever you've been doing that day - and relax in the large living area of this lovely home with plenty of comfortable furniture. If there is a musician in your group, you're in luck with the grand piano to play on. On those chilly or snowy nights, gather in front of the warm glow of the gas fireplace and talk, read, listen to some music or watch some television or a DVD.

The family dog can join you for an additional nightly fee. The dogs can play and roam in a fenced dog run.

All three bedrooms are on the same floor. Along with the roomy full bed in the master bedroom, at day's end you'll be able to slide into the warmth of the large tub and soak your cares away. The other two bedrooms each have comfortable full sized beds and share the main bath with its full tub, shower and two sinks. This home will sleep up to eight guests (six adults).

There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room for extra accommodations. And you won't be accumulating a mound of laundry and muddy hiking gear for the trip home: there's a washer and dryer as well.

Meals shouldn't be a problem with this stylish vacation rental home's fully equipped modern kitchen, complete with a gas range for that perfect cooking flame, a microwave for movie night popcorn, a dishwasher for quick clean up, and a coffee grinder so you can enjoy the freshest cup! Or, make the 10-minute trip into downtown Couer d'Alene where you'll have your choice of 120 restaurants.

Nestled on one of the intermittent, manicured patches of land carved from the sea of trees in the region, you'll be a little over a mile from Coeur d'Alene Lake, a narrow body of water that's long on beauty, abundance, and recreational activities. Notwithstanding all the stuff you can do out on the water, Coeur d'Alene is also within 100 miles of 32 golf courses, five major ski areas, and three national forests.

Obviously, you'll be able to get good use of the boat when you stay at this beautiful home, as there is a nice boat ramp close to Kidd Island. There's plenty of parking for your season-specific recreational vehicles. In summer, bring the clubs! There are eight places to tee up in the area. There are lots of places to hike, bike, kayak, and shoot the rapids on a raft. Anglers can throw their lines in Coeur d'Alene Lake, or tease the waters with their lures in the Spokane River. Savor the bucolic landscape from a peaceful perch in a gondola ride. In town, take your pick of 125 shops where you can find that perfect art piece or souvenir to remember your visit. Skiers: there are 5 ski areas from within 48 to 90 miles from the city, including Silver Mountain Resort to the east, Kellogg and Schweitzer Mountain to the north in Sandpoint.

So, come see why visitors keep coming back again and again to the beautiful, pristine Coeur d'Alene Lake area where there's lots to do no matter what the season! And when you're there, make this lovely vacation rental gem your home away from home.
