Ride through a virgin redwood forest, down the San Lorenzo River gorge, over bridges and trestles, through tunnels and along quiet streets lined with Victorian homes before arriving at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Dogs are permitted aboard the train, however may be asked to wear a muzzle at the discretion of the conductor. (Muzzles are available to borrow.) Dogs are not permitted on the Santa Cruz Boardwalk or on Santa Cruz city main beach. A doggie beach is available next to the lighthouse on West Cliff Drive.
