Formerly a North West Mounted Police and Royal Canadian Mounted Police post, this site was later used to breed horses for the force and the Musical Ride. Guided tours of the fort’s buildings, the Fort Walsh townsite, two cemeteries and a reconstructed whiskey trading post are available to visitors. Leashed pets are welcome on site but are not permitted inside buildings.
