This wildlife refuge is situated in the Atlantic flyway, a migration route which follows the east coast of North America. Migrating waterfowl, shorebirds, upland game birds, birds of prey, song birds, and wading birds can all be seen here. Leashed pets are welcome but must nor harass wildlife. Use caution in the late summer, as black bears are often seen foraging for blueberries.
