This museum stands as a tribute to the legend and legacy of the Pony Express - the famous mail service that traveled 2,000 miles between St. Joseph and Sacramento from April 1860 until October 1861. When the museum is not busy, well behaved, leashed pets may be allowed inside. If a tour doesn't work out, they are welcome to enjoy the grounds with you.
