The Big Horn Mountains, a sister range of the Rocky Mountains, is located half-way between Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone National Park. Lush grasslands, alpine meadows, lakes, glacial carved valleys, rolling hills, and sheer mountain walls are all parts of the The Big Horn’s diverse landscape. With several reservoirs, 32 campgrounds, 3 scenic byways, 14 picnic areas, 7 lodges, streams, 189,00 acres of wilderness, and over 1,000 miles of trails there is plenty to do and explore.
