Quiet and grassy campsites along the shores of the Snake River await campers at Hells Gate. The park is situated at the lowest elevation in Idaho. At just 733 feet above sea level, the long season of warm weather gives rise to Lewiston's reputation as Idaho's Banana Belt. Pets are allowed in some camper cabins. Call for more info.

Pets are welcome in most Idaho State Parks, but some parks prohibit them in some cabins, yurts and they are prohibted from beaches. Pets must be kept on a leash no longer than 6-feet or confined to a camper. Do not leave pets unattended in a closed vehicle.
