Craving an Oregon Coast escape? Find just what you're looking for at this dog-friendly Newport vacation home. It's spacious and refreshingly modern, near the beach, and offers a most relaxing getaway for your group of up to eight guests.

Located on a quiet tree-lined street in the Nye Beach neighborhood, this home offers great access to the beach (just about four blocks west), and eclectic dining, shopping at quaint boutiques, and plenty of entertainment for all ages is only a short walk away. As an added bonus, you can actually hear the ocean and sea lions from the house!

Thoughtfully decorated and comfortable, the home's colorful rooms filled with abundant natural light will quickly melt away any stress. Together with your group, pop some popcorn then settle into the living area's comfy leather couches for an afternoon movie or cable show on the flatscreen TV.

You could also take out a board game, or choose a book from the small library. Catch a nap here during the afternoon lull, or brew a cup of coffee and enjoy lovely picture window views of the ocean as sunlight streams in and the brew warms your belly.

When it's time to eat, head into the spacious kitchen to whip up a fresh, homemade meal. Well-stocked with all the cookware and modern appliances you'll need, the kitchen even has ample countertops and a center island for laying out ingredients or serving up snacks.

And when the meal is ready, enjoy it with your group at the six-seat dining table, at an adjacent three-seat cafe table, or at the two-seat island. You'll also have plenty of vibrant lighting provided by lamps and custom glass pendant light fixtures over the breakfast bar.

Wind down your day with a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood, or walk over to the Nye Beach turnaround to explore its quaint shops and eateries. You could also take a scenic drive south to catch a lovely sunset over Yaquina Bay, or take out one of the children's games and put together puzzles with your kids.

At the end of an eventful day, retire to any of three bedrooms to get the restful sleep you need for another day of adventures. Up to eight guests are accommodated on soft queen-size beds in each room, and one sofabed in an extra sitting room. With oversized picture windows, pastel-colored walls, pine furnishings, and framed artwork, the bedrooms are comfortable spaces guaranteed to deliver a great night's sleep!

Wake up refreshed in the morning and start your day off with a casual beach stroll. Explore tide pools, listen to the calming sounds of waves crashing, or play fetch with your dog (with a small nightly fee, up to two dogs can come along!).

Come home to plan your next adventures using the WiFi, then explore the rest of Newport. Make sure to include a stop at the world-famous Rogue Ales Brewery along the bayfront, which offers low-key coast-inspired dining paired with a huge variety of beer, some of which is brewed on site. There's even daily tours of the brewing facility, so arrive early to sign up!

If you've brought kids, they'll love a day spent interacting with playful sea lions, curious otters, and many more coastal species at the Oregon Coast Aquarium, which is about three miles south of this home, crossing over Yaquina Bay.

In the mood for a fun day trip? Drive about three and a half miles north to visit Oregon's tallest lighthouse and hike on picturesque trails through beautiful old-growth forest at Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area. If you're a golfer, bring along your clubs for a tee time at Agate Beach Golf Course (just two miles north), and if whale watching is on your bucket list, drive 13 miles north to Depoe Bay where, if you're lucky, you'll catch glimpses of grey whales on their seasonal migration to warmer waters in Mexico.

A lovely updated home close to city attractions, the beach, and plenty more, this dog-friendly Central Oregon Coast vacation rental welcomes your next getaway to the relaxing sights, sounds, and laid-back living of Newport. Book now!
