The location of this home right on the Nye Beach Turnaround offers equal access to the beach and nearby shopping, dining, and entertainment options here in Nye Beach and along Bay Street in Newport. Hunt razor clams brought in by the tide in the morning, then take your group into town in the afternoon or evening for sightseeing and a fabulous bowl of seafood chowder at Mo’s Restaurant or the well-loved Chowder Bowl at Nye Beach, which is an easy walk away. When you're ready to head home, park near Nye Beach Sweets (and maybe pick up a sweet treat for the kids) before climbing the stairs to head inside.

The home itself was originally built in 1912 but has been recently completely remodeled, and is now a modern artist’s retreat filled with bright furnishings, eclectic decor, and large picture windows. The living room is an entertainment oasis with a comfy couch and a flatscreen cable-equipped TV, which is perfect for relaxing in front of on rainy days. Or play a spirited game of cards or a board game with your group; with two colorful recliners and chairs, there’s more than enough space for everyone in this room!

When it’s time to dine, whip up a fantastic seafood feast in the well-stocked kitchen. There's plenty of counterspace to lay out all of your ingredients, and modern appliances make meal preparation and cleanup easy. When the meal is ready, eat at the reclaimed wood dining table with space for six, or head outside to the wood deck where you can enjoy your meal with sea breezes and panoramic views of the rugged coastline.

Two bedrooms offer cozy sleeping quarters for up to six people. Restful slumber will be achieved in any of these rooms, which feature a queen-size bed in one, a double bed in another, and one twin and one futon in the third. With wall-to-wall carpet, vivid colors, eclectic furniture, and full-of-character antique decor, all of the bedrooms exude an artistic elegance that will surely coax any tired bodies into peaceful relaxation.

Go ahead and bring the laptop along - WiFi is provided. Also feel free to bring along whatever clothes you need for exploring the coast by land and water - a washer/dryer is included for your laundry. This home is also dog-friendly and you're welcome to bring your furry friend with you for an additional nightly fee.

The inside of this home is perfect for relaxation and inspiration, but step out to the deck or gaze out the windows to marvel at the unobstructed ocean views - you can even see Yaquina Head Lighthouse! Ideal for watching a coastal sunset or sipping a morning coffee, this deck is just the place to sit quietly and take in the sights. Of course, since this home boasts an absolutely spectacular location right next to the turnaround, you will not only enjoy the gorgeous views but will also have easy beach access!

Nye Beach is just beyond your doors and can be accessed by walking 50 steps down a set of stairs to the beach turnaround. Feel free to walk your dogs on the beach if the home’s small yard is not enough space. Since this home is right in between the Visual Arts Center and the Candy Store - and within a short walk of quirky shops, amazing restaurants, and even a fun park - there's something for everyone nearby!

If you’re a beer connoisseur, make sure to include in your agenda a stop through the Rogue Ales Brewery, which is two miles south crossing over Yaquina Bay. Take a guided tour and sample some of the exotic beers that are brewed here daily, such as the Voodoo Doughnut Bacon Maple Ale, Rogue Farms Marionberry Braggot, and Rogue Sriracha HOT stout.

For fun that’s more family-friendly, check out the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Here, your kids can get up-close-and-personal with jellyfish, sharks, sea otters, and many more animal species that reside in the waters just off the coast. Outdoor enthusiasts will love Yaquina Bay State Recreation Site, which lies one and a half miles south, and is a wonderful place to get in some great day hikes and view spectacular scenery on 32 acres of coastal woodland.

(Please note: Because this home can only be accessed via multiple flights of stairs, it is not the best choice for those with mobility issues. However, the staircase is sturdy, safe, and has benches along the way where you can rest and enjoy the views!)
