Step through the front door to an open main living area filled with comfort. Furnished with a sofa, armchairs, brick-framed fireplace, and a flatscreen TV, the living room is a perfect spot to end a wonderful day with fellow travelers. Use the cable to catch your favorite shows, or pop a movie into the Blu-ray player for a quiet movie night.

Across the room is a stunning wood dining table with plenty of room for all six guests to take a seat along the benches and partake in a delicious home-cooked meal, game night, or craft time. On warmer days, take your plate out to the large deck to dine al fresco and even catch sight of a falling star or the Big Dipper after sunset.

Back inside is a fantastic, full kitchen featuring tile countertops, knotted pine cabinets, a warm mosaic tile backsplash, and everything the chef needs to whip up tasty meals. Along with major appliances, a microwave, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, toaster, mixer, and slow cooker are also included.

To offer space for all six travelers, each of the two bedrooms house enticing king-size beds, and a sofabed is available in the living room. The spectacular master bedroom even has an en suite bathroom with a stand-alone shower for extra privacy. A full bathroom is accessed via the hallway for other guests to use.

Enjoy Lily Rock from a new perspective and try your hand at mountain climbing. Take a stroll through what used to be Foster Lake and is now Foster Lake Meadow, just out your back door. If you brought your dog along, leash him up and let him frolic through the flowers and grass as you explore the flora and fauna. (Please note that if you do bring your dog, there is a nightly pet fee and a weight limit of 25 pounds.)

Another popular hiking trail, Deer Springs, is close by, and the educational and fun Idyllwild Nature Center is just down Highway 243. After a day in the great outdoors, clean up and take the group out for a tasty meal at Gastrognome, followed by browsing galleries and local boutiques.
