Standing at 136 feet tall, Independence Rock is an impressive site to behold. This famous Emigrent Trail Monument has been nicknamed The Register of the Desert because many pioneers carved their names on the rock's smooth granite surface. Leashed dogs are welcome on site but are not permited on the beach or in the swim areas.
